About
My Story
Director Spencer Folmar's theatrical debut, "Generational Sins," has ignited a national debate regarding the intersection of faith and film. FOX, The Hollywood Reporter, Deadline, Washington Times, CBN, Christian Post, and numerous others have joined the discourse surrounding the film's release. In response, Folmar has coined the term "Hard Faith" to delineate this emerging genre of cinema, crafted for audiences yearning for optimism amidst the raw narratives of real life.
Born near the Magic Kingdom in Eustis, Florida, Folmar later relocated to the rust belt of Central Pennsylvania during his formative years. Amidst the farmlands, coal-scarred hills, and dense forests, Folmar and some of his high school companions embarked on the journey of filming YouTube videos as a substitute for traditional school assignments. This marked the genesis of his cinematic journey.
Presently based in Los Angeles, California, he is immersed in directing, writing, and producing feature films. Additionally, he holds the position of executive partner at American Talent Management. Married to McKenna Riley Folmar, they reside in Hollywood alongside their daughter Margaret.
